" it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!" - Rocky Balboa
More About Me
I started racing in 1974 and continued though 1984. I raced the Mini-Cycle to Open-Pro Class. I finish sixth place, in two classes, at the World Mini Grand Prix in 1975 . I was Florida State champion multiple times in the mini and 125 classes. I was chosen as one of three riders to be on Team Florida in 1977. I finished 13th in the 250 expert amateur national regional qualifier in 1978, but broke my wrist during the race and was not able to make the final. I have competed against Jeff Ward, Mark Barnett, Broc Glover, and David Bailey. I left the sport in 1984 after a serious knee injury.
In 2004, I reentered the sport in which I love. Though a difficult road, I have become competitive in the 30+, 35, 40+, 45+ and the 55+ classes. I raced the 45+ class at the 2009 Vortex Vet National, held in Ocala, and finished 10th. I continue to compete and return to sport in which I have such a passion.
